Trust approves first Innovation Fund grant to Calvary Hospital 

The Community Trust of Southland has approved a $50,000 grant from its Innovation Fund to Calvary Hospital Southland, to undertake a feasibility study investigating the concept of establishing a dementia village in Southland. Find out more

Expanded Principals' Discretionary Fund Receives Tick of Approval

Southern Principals have given an excellence mark to the Community Trust of Southland's revamped Principals' Discretionary funding for schools.  

The funding was increased in 2016 from $110,000 to $510,000, and enables all 96 primary, intermediate and secondary schools in the Community Trust of Southland (CTOS) area to allocate funding to where they see need and priority. The purpose of the fund is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to achieve their potential, and 93% of Principals have reported themselves to be very satisfied with the new funding.  To find out more and to view the 2016 Snapshot
