Our Strategic Direction
Trustees have developed our strategy taking into account previous strategies and practices but also recognising the need for refinements that reflect the changing needs and aspirations of communities.
We have also considered how best we as a community funder can work alongside communities in our region to help make a real and lasting difference.
While our new strategic direction is not a total departure from where we have been and how we have worked in the past, we are intentionally becoming more focused and strategic in our grant making.
Our commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi forms the foundation of our new strategic framework and our vision of having 'A Thriving Southland' is underpinned by four strategic pillars, each with a related set of funding priorities.
We will continue to have a strong focus on people, partnerships, participation and places, and are keen to explore innovative new solutions, transformative ideas or new approaches that will help create positive change in the Trust's region.
As we imbed our refreshed direction we recognise there will be the need to reflect on and monitor its implementation and impact, making refinements where necessary along the way.
We look forward to continuing and building on strong community partnerships throughout the duration of this strategic plan and beyond, as we work towards achieving our vision of a thriving Southland.
